Obama's Coattails

Hoffman Lost, But....

the elections were a dead give away of the effect that Obama will have on the 2010 midterm elections.

The Revolution just started.

You betcha Hoffman lost, but...

...the poldits should not lose sight of the fact that an inexperienced but conservative accountant, not a politician, who had no political machine to help him on the ground until about the last two weeks when a couple of outside groups came in to help, lost by only three points (49 to 46).

Yes, the district went from long-time Republican to Democratic this time and that's unfortunate, but that's mainly the fault of the national GOPers who went with the locals' pick of the RINO Scuzzyfuzzy instead of vetting her in the first place and getting behind Hoffman earlier.

The power of the TEA Party movement here is that it helped an unknown, nonpolitician come from left (excuse me, right) field at the last minute and suck up enough support to force the RINO to withdraw and the Dem to only win by three points. Pretty amazing.

If nothing else, this election should have put enough egg on the faces of some national level GOPers to make them get back to conservative values within the Party or risk the wrath of GOP consrvatives, lose the support of TEA Partiers and therefore not make the gains they could in 2010.
