Scary, scary, scary.

Great article... frightening, but great.

Thanks for stopping by and commenting. I appreciate your kind words.

Brilliant!

Oddly, I was thinking about the same thing these last couple of days. What does our world look like in the future if Islam wins?

I have to take issue with the context, though. The history books are written by the winners, and once the Empire is sufficiently crushed, there will be no evidence of our noble fight. Instead, all that college essays will be able to find is evidence of the just war against an imperialist enemy in an attempt to bring about the 12th Imam. If successful, there will be no one around who would write what you've written.

Of course, if one of us were to travel into the future we could correct the record, and your essay would be an excellent example.

We Can't Even Take the Liberal Way Out

JD, I am new to these blogs and I must say I enjoy yours. My comment on this issue is one of my current pet peeves about this war and our liberals. In my mind, we need to win this war way both militarily and economically. Since the libs are turning more Neville Chamberlain-like with ever day about a strong military response, one would think they would be strongly supporting an economic route to defeating militant islam. It would seem that it would be all too easy just by stopping our purchase of middle eastern oil. Within ten years, once strong state sponsers of terror like Saudi Arabia and Iran would be rejoining their Bedoin brothers of old in the middle of the Saraha.

However, we had two strong chances of making this happen this year, but our Senators decided that wars for oil, and shipping foreign oil 15000 miles through our planet's most sensitive ecosystem (our oceans) was more desirable than matting down some tundra grass, or even a worst case, an oil spill. We had a chance to put all of our oil and gas drilling rigs to work throughout the North American continent, 24/7, on and offshore, and in the end, we only get to drill in the Gulf. As a geologist, I understand that we can replace our foreign oil exports with domestic oil and gas for nearly two decades if we have to. Now it will be more expensive than we currently pay, but in comparison to what we are spending now on wars and homeland security, it boggles my mind that environmentalists have blocked the only non-violent route to cutting militant islam off at the knees.

Your observations about our energy "stupidity" are right on the money. Yesterday I wrote a bog regarding "war for oil" which you may find interesting if you haven't seen it yet.

Liberals seem to have no desire to win this war militarily, economically, culturally or any other way and that is what is so scary. It is not a matter of tactical disagreement with them, but a question of whether we are at war at all, and that kind of willful blindness is suicidal.

And thanks for the kind words regarding my posts. Your comments are appreciated and I look forward to more exchanges with you.
