But Why?
The US military found weapons of mass destruction or their precursors aplenty in Iraq. Why has the Bush Administration sat quietly while the left has gone on a lying spree about this issue? Are they protecting Putin and the Euros? We'll find out in a few years, I suppose.

Lots of fools here in America think they "deserve" the truth but as Jack said in "A Few Good Men" - "You can't handle the truth!"
A lot of folks wet the bed over little stuff like not haveing their personal problems addressed by Uncle Sam, imagine if they were told the truth about terror.
As for the Media - they are reckless, negligent and dangerous.

Maybe President Bush figured:
Just let em run with the no WMD line till they have burried themselves so deep in it, then let the simple facts leave em looking like just what they are.

Thanks for stopping by, and thanks for diggin this up! How deep did they have this story buried? Run it on a Sat. while all the Palin bashing is going on so no one will notice. Maybe Charlie Gibson ought to do an investigative report on the media cover-up of the truth. I know I'm not the first to say it, but I think history will vindicate Bush. let us not forget all those spineless clowns in DC who Bash him and the war now were all totally on board after they saw the intelligence. This story cannot die. I wanna know why no oone is running it. Kind of imnportant aspect to the whole Iraq ear-policy story don't you think? Great Post!

Thank you for the link and the info on this story. I have sent it to about 25 people already. Let them read it and keep chanting about President Bush and his horribleness.
I saw a flash of Orrin Hatch on one of the talking head shows. He said after President Bush leaves office you will see more and more what he did for the country to keep us safe.
Chad - Charles Gibson probably has no clue. If you mention "yellow cake", he would chime in, huh? I thought we were having chocolate.

Thank you for bringin this story up.
I posted the MSNBC story on my blog.
It is amazing that the MSM prefers to bury this story and others like it, rather than communicating the truth as they are supposed to do.
Thank you again Gray Ghost.

I'm so glad this finally came out and thank you for getting this story out to all of us at TH.
I, for one, never doubted for one moment, that Saddam had the yellow cake. I figured it was being shipped elsewhere but to where I didn't know. I thought for a long time it was shipped into Syria. I still believe other stuff was shipped into Syria before we got in there too because Saddam had several mos to do it while Bush threatened him.
Christopher Hinkley, not a Bush lover, reported the entire story about how the yellow cake was gotten by Iraq and how they went about it to try to cover it by using other reasons for being there and people. It was a most interesting report Hinkley had reported, but of course, he too was called a liar. But, he had all the dots dotted and the t's crossed. There was no mistake after reading his article which I believe was in Slate online a year ago or maybe a little longer.
It will be really interesting to see what else comes out in the future about Saddam's WMD and where they are etc.

Just as Hannity keeps saying, "this is the year journalism died in this country".
Of course, the MSM doesn't want this story out. It proves to all of us, even though we already know it, that the MSM are nothing but liars and cover up artists for the socialist/dim party.
And, there is no doubt, if this story becomes more well known, the libs and the MSM will have all kinds of lies about the story and questions about whether it is a legitimate one.
I don't believe for one minute they will ever give it up.

I saw this story back in July in of all places, my local fishwrapper. (can we still say that? disclaimer: the term fishwrapper is intended to describe my local newspaper only. It is not a reference to any candidate for office living of dead except perhaps Millard Filmore.)
There was an article in the American Thinker. I also recall reading that the 550 metric tons translates into approx. 100 nuclear weapons if you can refine it (not that hard) and have the technology to make the weapons (really hard).
With enough oil money, you buy a lot of technology and brains.

Thank you for telling this story. My son has always said "there is more to this story" than he could tell. Being in Iraq 27 mos of the last three years, he knew that the MASS graves of women and children were NOT the ONLY cause for us to rid the world of this genocidal dictator.
As I've always said, there are matters of National Security that a President and the Troops CANNOT tell and it should STAY this way. But the liberal left has their heads in the sand, might as well send them to Iraq & Iran, they're so deep in it!

You and I are too old for this "foolishness".
Heads have got to roll in the MSM. For the next 15 to 20 years, we (i.e., old timers with good reputations and the understanding of what has occurred) have to "sound the charge" to place certain MSM types in prison.
It will be a fight. But people like yourself showed your "metal" in Viet Nam. And it must be done.

It aint a mainstream media.
It is significantly an Aid and Comfort Media and should be punished.
The backlash over the Palin hate-fest is considerable and hurting them badly. That helps.
But if there was one person most responsible for the evil done there, then I would like to have some private time with them.

I have the same question as Skep
Santorum came out publically and talked about the Chemical weaponry found, and Bush hung him out to dry and never backed him up. Was it so that it would get secured before it was admitted to? That is my biggest frustration with Bush, he doesn't care what the media and the left say.....great, but because he doesn't care, he allows slander to go unchallenged, taking his credibility with Americans down a notch, and in my opinion, contributing greatly to the Republican losses in 06. Again I have to ask myself why?
