Comment on: Jesus is a Liberal

I rather be a part of the RIGHTEOUS Right

Jesus is a Liberal

Alas, once again Christian conservatives are lumped together as the "righteous right" who don't care about social justice.

Matt 7:1-2 "Judge not, that ye be not judged. For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again."

As a long-time Christian, former liberal and current member of the right, I'm always somewhat baffled by fellow Christians who hold such a bigoted view of those who embrace conservative values.

The fact is, conservatives are far more generous in personal charity, partially, because they have a personal sense of responsibility and do not believe their is no charity without government intervention. This is certainly not a new position. In fact, Davy Crockett gave a great speech about this in Congress which is well worth taking the time to read and readily available on the numerous sites.

However, social justice begins most fundamentally with a respect for life. This administration feigns social justice while readily and willingly promoting some of the most anti-life policies ever proposed in this country.

Jesus absolutely teaches that we must care for the poor, the sick, the needy. But He also teaches us to value the least and most innocent among us. Does any believer really think Jesus nods approval as an abortionist performs a partial-birth abortion? Or that He condones watching a baby die after a botched abortion rather than offering medical treatment? Or that He Who tells us we all have an appointed time, is OK with someone taking it upon themselves to decide when that time will end for themselves or another?

Jesus is still a Liberal.

Throughout the New Testament of the King James Bible, which maybe different from yours, Jesus especially in the Books of the Gospel warns, alerts, apprise us "how those that prefer to hold on to their riches" honors another Master. My brethen, I do not agree in Abortions, cause it is wrong, but I do not believe in Capital-punishment, either! The bigoted view or I would say the hypocrisy is one to believe in one and not the other. But the Statutes in my Bible teaches me that all sins are equal and sinful against God, there are no little and lesser sins. A person who lies, cheat on their spouse, steal, cause chaos, and all that breaks our commune with the Lord IS A SIN. It is all Christians Responsibility and stewardship to take care of our brothers and sisters, because what we do for our lesser is what we do for HIM. Matt. 25: 33-46. Bless you my brother.
