Don't be Fooled: McCain IS NOT the enemy

McCain wants to repeat Reagan' s mistake
Reagan said Simpson-Massoli was his BIGGEST mistake. It was "Comprehensive. It called for Amnesty and Enforcement. We got the Amnesty but no Enforcement.
McCain wants more of the same. And said he would sign McCain/Kennedy even AFTER saying he had heard and would build the damn wall.
I am in favor of Guest Worker, but we need the enforcement provisions enacted first and then AFTER they are enacted and being enforced we can do Guest Worker, etc...
To do otherwise just gives todays Politicians the ability to "say" they enacted "Comprehensive Reform" and it is th fault of the follow on Politicians that did not do the Enforcment.
Again, I am in favor of "Comprehensive" immigration reform but it has to be staged with Enforcement the first stp. Not having Guest Worker is what brought the land rush of illegal immigrants in the first place. They could not go back and forth across th border to be with family so they brought their family here.
McCain just wants more of the same.

McCain Is Not Reagan
I can't believe someone in this blog just compared McCain to Reagan! I don't recall Reagan splitting his own party to win the party's nomination. And yes, McCain didn't just vote for Amnesty, he was an ADVOCATE. He lent his name and led the charge. His pal Graham of SC referred to those of us who were calling into DC as bigots. The only thing McCain supporters can say is he's good on the war. FINE. Let's nominate him for SecDef.

McCain is Definitely NOT Reagan...
But that is not the point. The point is that there is a bigger picture here that some are ignoring. Conservatives need to unite and focus on winning in November. Would you rather have 70% of Americans call themselves Republicans, with some diversity in the ranks; or 30% call themselves Republicans, all strict conservatives. Your 30% will never win an election, and would be irrelevant. I agree with many (if not all) of your points above, but Bush was not perfect either. The point is we want to win. And if it takes uniting around a candidate you may differ on some issues with, so be it.

Obama aide sympathizes with Hamas!!!
or we could have Hillary brrrrrrrrrr
I have really been bothered by many of the comments I have read by Mitt fans tonight that said they would never vote for McCain. Knowing this is the alternative???? I hope that if things continue the way they are that these Mitt fans do a little more deep thinking before they decide not to support McCain.

Don't give up!
I see that you haven't posted in a while. The election may be over, but the fight most certainly is not. Do not give up on your conservative ideals! I have started a website/blog http://conservativecompass.com in an attempt to bring together conservative ideas, and move forward with an intelligent agenda. It is new, and frankly we are lonely over there, so I'm out here in the blogosphere trying to get like minded people such as yourself to join with us. I invite you to log on and contribute your thoughts and ideas. We've got a lot of work to do in the next 2 to 4 years, and we've all got to work together if we hope to succeed. Hope we see you there!
