I make milk. What's your superpower?

Hmmm...

As a 34 year old certified conservative (Cracker Jacks license) who has no children I can’t say that I have ever really considered this topic. I personally have absolutely no problem what-so-ever with public breastfeeding. I think when we try to hide everything from our children it can produce unhealthy mis-conceptions.

I can compare this with fair fighting. When I have children I believe it is important for them to see mom and dad fight FAIRLY. If my children have no concept as to how to have a civil disagreement with their spouse, they may go down the wrong roads when they step up to the plate. I want them to witness how to do things correctly from a disagreement with my wife to why women breastfeed. There is nothing lewd or dirty about it, it is a healthy natural function which no one should “shield” their children from. Men are so fascinated by breasts because we don’t have them and don’t see them often (unless we are lucky enough to ;o). Children should have an understanding as to why God gave them to you and what you use them for.

Make sense?

Good analogy

That is a pretty good analogy. It makes perfect sense. I agree we shouldn't hide natural/normal things from our children. I have actually heard people tell nursing mothers (who were completely covered while nursing) "don't do that in front of my children." Yikes! Some common sense please!
