Wonkette crosses fingers for Roberts' death

Yawn

Just par for the liberal course. Take for example...

1) Black commentator Julianne Malveaux's comment about Clarence Thomas in 1994: "You know, I hope his wife feeds him lots of eggs and butter and he dies early like many black men do, of heart disease. Well, that’s how I feel. He is an absolutely reprehensible person." btw...She has a Ph.D. in economics from MIT. Go figure.

2) Salon.com's Dan Savage wrote an article in 2000 describing how he faked his way into a Gary Bauer campaign office in order to spread the flu bug he had. Wrote Savage: "In my Sudafed-induced delirium I decided that if it's terrorism Bauer wants, then it's terrorism Bauer is going get -- and I'm just the man to terrorize him. Naked, feverish and higher than a kite on codeine aspirin, I called the Bauer campaign and volunteered. My plan? Get close enough to Bauer to give him the flu, which, if I am successful, will lay him flat just before the New Hampshire primary. I would go to Bauer's campaign office and cough on everything -- phones and pens, staplers and staffers. I even hatched a plan to infect the candidate himself. I would keep the pen in my mouth until Bauer dropped by his offices to rally the troops. And when he did, I would approach him and ask for his autograph, handing him the pen from my flu-virus incubating mouth." Savage called this "a little malicious --even a little mean-spirited."

Dan Savage

Savage lives in Seattle and is a walking sexually transmitted disease. Take his column "Savage Love" and you'll see that he talks about things that would make Howard Stern blush. The guy is in charge (or was the last time I read it) of the city's alt-weekly hate rag The Stranger and was paid honors by Al Franken when Franken did a special Seattle episode of his dead radio show. How the guy ever got so much exposure I just don't know. He's a truly reprehensible person.

He gets the exposure

because he assaults the right kind of people. But I'm sure you were only asking a rhetorical question...

Yeah I was.

And he represents very well the attitudes toward sexuality of people in Seattle (i.e. do whatever you want with whatever you want).
