Trying to Talk Reason with Progressives

You're right on the money. I work in a very liberal environment and it's astonishing how rarely they bother with details like facts, reason, and logic. Not all liberals are that way (I enjoy discussing things with them), but few bother with the intellectual rigor of researching and testing their own ideas. The old saying is that a democrat is just a republican who hasn't been mugged yet, but I think a revision could be that a liberal is a conservative who hasn't thought about what they believe.
