Very perceptive! It's amazing how use of the word "pleading" as descriptive of the comments changes the perspective immensely. Now that President Bush has only 22 months left in office, one would think that the left could begin to focus on the mortal combat with jihadists who wish us dead--a threat which will be with us long after Jan. 2009, regardless of which political party has power here.
