The City of Jacksonville government will break its neck to supply an entitlement or funding to the 1000+ non-for-profit organizations to show compassion. It is very shameful that the COJ would commit necessary public safety entities i.e. JSO & JFRD to the immediate tax cut effects of the Tax Amendment. It is my belief that JSO is allowing the crime to escalate at the expense of the taxpayer so the taxpayer will scream against the property tax amendment. First priority should be given to the taxpayer, and then any remaining tax funds should be divided up among the non-necessary government functions.

So, why isn't there a crowd on the courthouse steps? Why isn't the TV, Newspapers, and Radio ..the Jax media on this. Our quality of life is the most important thing we have..it's the reason we live in America. It's the reason I do! I was brought up in foreign countries as an Army brat. I could comfortably live in Germany right now..but I like our quality of life here. I do not, however, feel safe right now..in my own home. I blame the Mayor and his tax cuts and his priorities..which are not mine!

What do you suggest?

I e-mailed another letter to the mail this week..will post it here next week..am visiting the son of my deceased brother in Tampa this weekend.
