Iran's Driving Force

But Israel is watching and preparing for a possible strike on Iran. Look at what has occurred recently. First, in June 2009, one of the Israeli Dolphin class subs went thru the Suez Canal into the Red Sea (and more likely into the Persian Gulf).

Next, last week Saudi Arabia "secretly" annouces that Israel has permission to cross Saudi airspace.

Then on 07/14/09, two Israeli corvettes went thru the Suez Canal.

The Israelis don't play fair; so I expect that Iran is starting to "sweat". However, Iran could also have a "Death Wish" and therefore could continue to keep the nuclear program going.

In any event, things are getting interesting in the Middle East.

I don't know the specifics of what Israel is doing presently to strike Iran. It's obvious though Israel will protect itself. I don't know if Biden's remark on Sunday was a signal to the Israelies to do what they felt necessary or if it was just one of his 'misspeaks'. Obama was quick to say that the US had not adjusted it's policy regarding an Iran-Israel showdown. Time will tell.
