Don't pray for my safe return, pray for victory.

Good quote...

Do you have the link to where it came from? I'd like to learn more.

Pray for a safe return

The words and deeds of our brave volunteers are not ecohed in the dispicable media we call a free press. We need a grass roots effort, similar to the one initiated by the conservative radio media related to the subject of immigration. Both political parties and the liberal press assume the average voter is STUPID. The immigration outcry proves when the public has a media support voice, it will speak out loudly, clearly, and decisively. A motherhood topic such as soldiers and their families screaming their opinions should send a message to our inept congress. WE need the conservative blogs and radio media to adopt this cause as URGENT. TOWNHALL, PLEASE ADOPT THIS ISSUE.

Miscommunication??

Sorry for any confusion, but my post was not a quote, it was my thoughts entirely. Only the title of it is a quotation ("Don't pray for my safe return, pray for victory"). And it is not from anything published that I know of. It was a solider the other day calling into the Morning in America radio show (Bill Bennett's program). So once again, the title of my latest post IS a quote (from memory), but the body of the post are my words and mine alone.

Sorry!

One of the best

I believe this is so true...although as a veteran, will pray for both because I can.

Sacrifice your life?

I think not. Sure, volunteering today implies support for the war in Iraq, and the discipline to follow orders, but these are still American citizens. Not only do we want to give them the best tools for the job and their safety, we expect them to maintain the moral compass they had when they joined. Thankfully, for the most they are, and we're proud of them as individuals.
