Huckabee wins the silver

Well, sure. Grassroots organization does matter, generally speaking, over raw cash totals. But there's the added issue of where the grassroots efforts are being mobalized. If McCain has to choose Huck to get grassroots support in what you referred to as "very red states", then he's already toast.

But there really isn't any evidence that such is the case, excepting perhaps FL and how much creedence you give to the spoiler theory behind Bob Barr in GA.

What Romney brings, other than economic credentials, which will probably decide this election, is money and potential ground support in more "purple" states: CO, NV, NM, MI. And the added cash doesn't hurt either.

Both men have strengths and weaknesses. But overall, I have to like Romney over Huck.
