The Cult of Personality
I remember Election Night 1992 with the media wags exulting over "a younger Washington, fresher" [how "fresh" indeed it would prove!!]-- "like the Kennedys all over again" and so forth. You would think they never served liquor in Georgetown from Nixon to HW Bush, to hear them talk.
And Obama brings that sentiment out on steroids. He could promise new wars and Munich capitulation all at the same time (wait a minute . . . hasn't he though?!), while writing out a Christmas list on blank air and it gets--nothing. Not a bat of the eyelashes from the MSM, or his followers.

...having our own Krystal Nacht in the next few years isn't outside the realm of possibility. We saw the "Obama Youth" marching and chanting thanks to drudge posting the video.
I'm a big believer in Divine intervention. Sometime study the the Battle off Samar [WWII] with a small U.S. battle group going up against a far superior Japanese force. ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Battle_off_Samar ) If you can't see the hand of God there, well - you will. This isn't the 1st time we've been in such a hopeless/helpless situation as a nation and somehow we were delivered by the Lord.
Should have a new post in the next few days. DD

I can't see the text dawn. Something must be wrong with my view. I see yellow writing in some spots, then nothing but white for the text. Yikes.
I'm so sorry. I don't know how to fix this.
I gather by the comments though that you were talking about BO and the possibility of having a pre Hitler event. I know I'm scared of it. And, I'm hoping to God he does not get elected.
Meanwhile we're loading up on ammo, and will start to load up on extra food. Things could get really bad. I just hope McCain gives it to him on all his nefarious activities so everyone finds out what a fraud he is.

The Wars the United States is Fighting
Well said, DawnDawn. But which two wars are we talking about? Below is my take:
The war against Islamic jihadists who want to establish the coming of the 12th Imam. This has multiple battlefronts: Iraq, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Iran, Indonesia, Southern Philippines and the soon to be reinvigorated sleeper cells within our inner cities resulting from the release of Gitmo interns.
The war against internal subversion, being somewhat stealth is the more difficult one to fight. This too has multiple interlocking fronts: the ACLU, the Teachers' Unions, the open-border Liberals (Democrats, Republicans or any other party label), the MSM who want to impose its whims on the national consciousness.
BHO just now happens to be the leading priest of the Church of Entitlements. If America is willing to hand him the Oval Office as his pulpit, she shall then deserve what she is getting.

None of us knows what`s going to happen but my prayers are that America wakes up and elects John McCain!

An inexperienced leader
If I tell 5 people and you tell 5 people....
HIS HEALTH CARE PLAN:
People need an education about the ramifications of much of Obama's agenda. His health care plan is the conception of socialism in American society. These blind followers in unions do not realize that his proposal passively diminishes their collective bargaining. As BO said everyone that "doesn't like their plan can join the same plan that Senator McCain and I enjoy".
Problems:
1. We taxpayers foot the bill for that one.
2. Health insurance is a free enterprise, the US has 2 national plans Medicare and the Veteran's Administration.
3. His proposal will devastate health insurance companies.
4. As proposed, employers will be encouraged to offer substandard health plans so that employees will opt for the government plan. This is simple business economics.
5. This reduces the labor unions bargaining clout for health benefits, which is always a point of negotiation.
6. The plan infringes on state's rights, since each state legislates their insurance.
7. Health care insurers are both nonprofit and proprietary. Proprietary plans are public entities with stockholders their loss will once again effect the economy. Nonprofits are the generators of health insurance.
8. The financial debacle will impact the economy and employment.
9. It creates a further disparity in healthcare for Medicare and Medicaid recipients.
10. This plan will create astronomical financial and tax burdens for his precious middle class (us).
I wish we could get a grass roots campaign to get this message out! This reality might change minds!
AND as an FYI,
BO did not come up with the electronic medical record (EMR). It was incorporated into the Medication Error Reduction Act (MERA) in 2001 by a republican congress.

Unfortunately, we are not the candidate! So many missed opportunities. The fact that 30% of the taxfilers actually pay taxes... The play on words "5% of top earners" and 95% of "taxpayers" will not see a tax increase. What a crock!
McCain needs to give short and concise answers, not keep reviewing his record. Everyone knows Obama doesn't have one.
When Obama brought up electronic medical records McCain should have expalined that this was legislated in 2001, and he was there.
He need to give bullet answers, not epistles of his record. Articulate the plan, like at Saddleback.Neither candidate ever really answers the questions.
