A question of faith

Ultimately, to me, it's a question of faith. One has to belive we either were created by a Creator who designed us with incredible intelligence (consider the miracle of the eye), or we all just happened to come into being through a quirk of fate through nature.

Personally, I think it takes much more faith to believe every form of life just happened, that all land-based life forms (except plants, I guess) emanated from a slug deciding he was tired of being wet and wanted to dry out a little, and deciding never to go back, than it does to believe in a Creator.

I'll choose to believe I was created and not descended from a monkey. Even if I weren't a Christian, I'd like to think I would believe the same thing. Genesis does not, in my opinion, account for all the age of the earth. We have no idea what God's timing was in the creation and initiation of life on this earth, so it's pointless to argue based on that (and I believe the Bible to be literally true).

Either belief, creation or evolution, has holes that prevent it from being proven beyond question. That's where faith comes in. I choose to place my faith in a creator, and not a slimy slug.
