The warmth you felt came from hard work, not God.
We are not cursed by modern services at all. I know I am getting heavy on this subject, but the things you are talking about are only the fundementals of our culture. You may have heard of the Communist Party? Their creed is: From each, according to his ability. To each, according to his need.

Take seriously the thoughts your pondering, they will lead you to socialism. I kid you not.

How nice to get blasted in your very first comment, and accused of Communist/Socialist pondering to boot!

I didn't get that from your post. I am dependent on those luxuries you describe, and would not only not be able to care for myself should those luxuries be removed, but I probably don't even have the teamwork skills to participate in the community efforts that would be necessary just to survive.

A blessing and a curse indeed.
