Is the US on the decline?

My take on what method of suicide we are choosing:
The primary responsibility of the U.S. government is to protect the territorial integrity and people of this country. They have completely abdicated this responsibility. Both parties have been complicit in this. We are being told it is not possible to control our borders, enforce our laws, and thereby control our destiny as a nation. Hogwash. We are being sold out by corporations and the best gov't they can buy, intent on importing workers for jobs that can't be exported with the taxpayers picking up the true costs, financial and human. If we act like sheep and don't stop the inundation across our borders, we will lose our country without a bleat.

for the trackback! I think as you do, that the question is important at this point in time. Sometimes I do wonder if we are past the point of no return.

I will be interested to hear comments from the question that you asked - "Where do you think we are and how do you turn it around?"

My answer is that we are definitely in the apathy stage with many citizens voting for the candidates that offer the most from the public treasury. (Hillary is already promising health care for all.)

How do we turn it around? We certainly don't let the Democrats win again...We can get rid of the RINO's without turning the government over to those that want a "Nanny State."

Sometimes I wonder if it would be best to clone Reagan and appoint him Dictator, but then a voice in the back of my head says "We go as we are meant to." I really hope we get it together because Europe is showing us the dark and nasty road the Dem want to follow. My best.
