Gov. Perry Wise to Accept Stimulus Funds, Must Follow the Money

You seem to be making the mistaken assumption that our governor will be able to spend the money as he pleases. This bill comes with strings attached (federal control) and most, if not all, the money is probably earmarked for specific projects.

All the money Governor Perry needs, just like the money Obama wants, is already available. They just have to cut some things to pay for others.

You always hear about new government positions, committees, and programs being created. When do you ever hear about them being eliminated? A government that's unwilling to make sacrifices is a selfish business, not a public service.
