Wind Power and Emissions

I'm a conservative, like T. Boone Pickens, and I agree with him. Also, Pickens is not pushing his Plan to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, he's pushing his Plan to try to make America energy independent from foreign oil. He's still for American oil too.

I've never heard anything negative about wind mills except for the bird kill angle, so I was suprised to see the piece at the John Locke Foundation website. I need to study the issue further. As far as T. Boone is concerned, I think he's a stand up guy and I fully agree with the energy independence goal. I also agree with him that if carbon based energy isn't a part of the road to that goal, the goal will never be achieved. His program depends heavily on natural gas for transportation.

I HAVE heard about that aspect....but Picken's main thrust it to convert vehicles to Natural Gas, and replacing THAT resource's input to the energy grid with wind and other means. I think this is a good place to start the discussion, maybe not the end plan....
