Purpose of your blog -
to discuss traditional family values.
I believe that Mitt and Ann had a positive, visual impact on the message of maintaining traditional family values.
The pictures of them as a loving couple and the pictures of their cute extended family were worth a million words and a thousand sermons.
It is a choice - a choice the Romney's support - that children need both a father and a mother and that husbands and wives can love and support each other without either being demeaned. It is a minute by minute, day by day choice.
The soap opera sagas of Hollywood affairs and marriages shout pseudo-glamorous lessons of deception and marital infidelity. It was good to have a family in the news who chose the better part. And, it is always a choice.
Thank you, Romneys, for your positive contribution to the debate about marriages and families. Your gift to us went beyond policies and platforms. You walked the talk.

McCain's Running Mate
If McCain would make Romney his running mate and actually give him the job of restoring the economy and returning good jobs to the United States, I would gladly vote for that ticket. Otherwise, I would just as soon let the democrats have the blame for making the US a second rate country. With Romney this would be avoided. Without him, I don’t think it makes any difference. McCain would allow the democrats to choose the judges, anyway.

Why this old girl is sticking to Romney
I too am unable to vote for McCain.. he does not and never has had my support or respect.
Romney is the man the republicans should not let get away. He is the best thing that could happened to our country..his family, his intelligence, his love of the country.
Romney is too brilliant to be teamed up with McCain..remember...McCain will be in the debates...all he does is lie. He has no integrity. He can't win even if God was his VP.
So, many people who love our party and respect what conservativism stands for are voting or writing in Romney when they vote in primaries.
Huckabee has said on CNN that he is staying in so he can get more delegates than Romney.....no surprise...childish
We all have the right to vote for whom we want and if we want. I will not lose my integrity and vote for McCain.

Can Romney?
By working hard for Republican Senate and Congressional candidates and by becoming the voice of the loyal opposition during the dark night of Obama which will follow the coming blowout in November Mitt could become the leader of the conservative movement and the candidate in 2012 who saves the country from a Carter-like chaos and economic devastation. The question is, does he want to devote his life to it?

Re "Can Romney"
Mitt has been service-oriented all his life. Unlike career politicians he doesn't have to run for public office again. Instead of the huge sacrifices he and his family made during this campaign they could be playing with the toys many multi-millionaires pass their time with if they wanted to.
But I don't share your pessimistic attitude for the next four years. I think if McCain was smart enough to chose Romney as his running mate that would unite the GOP, and result in success in November.
Thanks for sharing your thoughts.
