Let's see if I can get caught up. 1)This is not obvious to those who are not paying attention to such matters. Which, sadly enough, seems to be the majority. Again,we see what an unholy alliance has been formed with leaders who care not a whit about the Constitution, and an all-too eager media who have, for the most part, chosen sides. When you have Sen.Foghorn,or any other cluck, shooting his mouth off,and a "news" outlet such as the almost defunct NYT splashing it around the world, makes you really wonder WHY they have NOT been brought up on charges. 2) The 2nd is the ONLY thing slowing them down. Hence, the RABID assault on it. Disarm the citizenry, you win. 3)Here is another example of the total, dismal FAILURE of properly applying history to today. If the majority were conversant with the Magna Carta,as well as our OWN Constitution, things I believe would be MUCH different. Liberals would NOT run amok as they do now,IMHO.4) CK,liberals DO read about it. And,THEY DO NOT LIKE IT.Their belief is the Founders were stupid for not giving the gov't ALL the powers.Since the gov't IS the liberals religion, they believe they got the short end of the stick,as it were.5)Exactly.This is another mistake the Founders made. Thinking that only HONEST people would be seeking, and holding office. Thus, they did not see the need for PRECISE language. My thought is were they to have written the Constitution as clearly as the 10 Commandments were, this may not be such an issue. Not much "interpreting" of the 10,now is there? If the people who KNOW and UNDERSTAND just what the Constitution says, and use it as a cudgel on these liberals,a lot of what we see an Obama-type administration doing would NOT take place.6) Agree fervently. 7)This is easy to answer. This bunch believes since no one is paying any attention, and the bastardization of the phrase,"Provide for the general welfare",you see where the ignorance of the masses as led to.

I do also believe they read about the whys in some cases as well. Maybe we should give them a challenge. Prove the Federalist Papers to be false in their reasonings and then they can try and change the Constitution. Being the Federalist Papers are the thoughts behind the actions, they are going to have one heck of a time doing that.
Agree 100% on the founders not being precise enough in places. They are inconsistent with the types of people that will find power. They put all these checks up to beat back tyrants and mention human nature throughout, but they then believe honest people will be found in power.
