What class war?
"The ultimate insult is they think no American outside Capitol Hill in Washington, D.C. is smart enough to figure out their scheme."
Are you sure? Hey are pretty tricksie.
"They also taught me that credit cards were nasty things to be avoided." You got that one. They are a poor substitute for raising wages.
"With you, give until it hurts applies to everyone except yourselves unless you're giving to your own campaign." Very true for most of them, but there are a few good guys. Bernie Sanders is one. He got into it with Greenspan over the minimum wage when he was in the house and Greenspan just lied to him straight faced.
"I work hard for my money and you decide I should share it with everyone except those I owe and my family." Now here is part of the smokescreen. You are paying for their tax hikes and they want you blame it on those vile social programs so they can cut benefits and lower their taxes more.
"Then if I go broke, you smile and instead of encouraging me to rise up to my own two feet, you loving place a heel of despair on my back and toss me food stamps, medicare, and welfare. Should I be foolish enough to eat of those forbidden fruits, you make darned sure the rules attached keep me down forever." Free market if you are hurting, but bailouts if they get too greedy.
It is your money!

Social Programs aren't very social
Social programs are another way of saying "I'll pay for your vote."
Don't get me wrong, folks. If people are too old, feeble or mental and/or physically unable to care for themselves, I say we lend them a hand.
But I have a real problem paying for the mistakes folks make with eyes wide SHUT! I could even forgive one error, like having that first baby too young. But, like I did with the credit cards, learn from your mistakes instead of having several more little mistakes.
I even think previously married women who suddenly find themselves without husband or sufficient finances should be assisted for a year including a school loan. During that time, they should be able to learn a decent skill from a technical school. But at the end of that year, if they've made no effort toward that end, they are on their own.
They can't leave the babies at home? No need to since most classes are available online. That excuse is a thing of the past. Computers can be found just about everywhere these days and in a massive number of homes.
In every school, at least three courses should be mandatory - English, Maths, and Money Management. Maybe learning how to save as well as spend would keep a few more people off the welfare roles.
But the welfare roles are relatively small compared to the goodies handed out to lobbyists and other countries. It wouldn't hurt to give money to help the folks in other countries after a disaster, except most of what we hand over goes into the hands of dictators and tyrants and rarely gets to the people.
