The Truth About a "Crypto-Christian"

Michael Scotto - bigot

Michael Scotto seems to think that since he was once a Roman Catholic, he knows everything about the Church and her 2000 year history. He seems to think that anything a past Pope said, was ex-cathedra - doctrine. He seems to think he knows more than St. Thomas Aquinas or St. Teresa of Avila or St. John of the Cross. He has a penchant for bashing what he THINKS is Catholicism, but what he does is make himself look stupid.
He has no Creed - he brags about - yet the Early Church always had a Creed - a belief that all adhered to who were believers. His pride has gotten the best of him no doubt. He is his own Pope now. Only he has the answers. Sounds a lot like Obama.

michael

There is no such thing as a former Catholic. Apostate catholic is more accurate.
ed, you are right about doctrine. Maany people with an axe to grind fall into that trap.

What Great Arguments

Hard to argue with your well-structured arguments. "Bigot".... brilliant. You really dismantled the "Crypto-Christian" evidence.

The links are all there for folks to see the doctrines for themselves.

By the way, have you read the documents of Vatican II? You are commanded to "submit mind and will" not only to the Pope when he speaks "ex catherdra" but whenever he (or your bishop) instruct you on faith or morals ("documents... repetition... or from his manner of speaking").

"This religious submission of mind and will must be shown in a special way to the authentic magisterium of the Roman Pontiff, even when he is not speaking ex cathedra; that is, it must be shown in such a way that his supreme magisterium is acknowledged with reverence, the judgments made by him are sincerely adhered to, according to his manifest mind and will. His mind and will in the matter may be known either from the character of the documents, from his frequent repetition of the same doctrine, or from his manner of speaking."

The Sedevacantists

I guess the devout the Tridentine sedevacantists I reference are "anti-Catholic bigots" as well? Now, that's quite a charge!
