True believers on the Left: Carter, McGovern, Wellstone. Notice that they are past tense. Dems' new crop, I just don't think so. Except Dean, who would sell his mother to beat back the Evil Empire.

On the Repub side, I believe Bush, Romney, Santorum and probably Thompson are genuine and decent men. I don't trust the others. Look what they've done with the advantage we gave them. I believe they became super self-absorbed and cut off from fly-over country.

I also don't think anyone needs $400 socks and the rich can be obnoxious. That's why I like when they wall themselves off behind their gated communities:) (It's all how you look at things).

AND - as for golf: the world's hardest game. I can shoot a 99 on any course in the world in any weather condition. Like I tell my buddies, "Nothing affects my game!"
