Of the supposed 47 million uninsured, 12-15 million are illegal aliens, so they deserve NOT ONE PENNY OF CARE. The majority of the rest make over $50K per year, so they can afford health insurance if they want to. Many are under the age of 35 and don't have it because they are mostly healthy and don't believe that they need the insurance at this point in their lives. Another 10 million or so are just without insurance for a couple of months while in between jobs.

You want to cure the problems of healthcare? Tort reform with "loser pays" is the 2nd step, after deporting ALL illegals. Third is to get rid of state mandates on insurance. A 70 year old woman doesn't need obstetrics coverage.

"International Law?" UN Resolutions are either in accord with "international law" or they are not; they do not make or constitute anything called "international law."

When Saddam Hussein invaded Kuwait it was an act of blatent aggression that violated "International Law"-the unwritten moral law of nations. Like the murauding, bloodthirsty, imperialist forces of Islam that invaded and colonized Christian owned lands (Egypt, Syria, Palestine, etc.), Saddam invaded Kuwait for territorial gain.

Israel, on the other hand, was fighting a defensive war against aggressive Arab states when it took control of Sinai, Gaza, the West Bank and Golan Heights. Those territories were Israel's morally just and legal reward for Arab aggression, hatred and bigotry.

Egypt violated "international law" by blockading the Straits of Tiran (an international waterway) to Israeli shipping; it was an criminal act of economic warfare against Israel's commercial interests. Egypt mobilized its forces for war and concluded mutual military pacts with Jordan and Iraq. As Israel had the right of self-defense it chose to excerise that right. It went to war with Egypt and its allies and defeated them against all odds. Israel took possession of Arab lands in payment for Arab aggression, an ancient, time honored practice going back ages.

Israel rejects UN Resolutions calling for its withdrawal from captured Arab lands as conflicting with international law (the unwritten moral law of nations), and will keep those lands as it sees fit. If Palestinians, Arabs, Iran, the EU and Obama don't like it, it's just too God damn bad.

The legality and morality of the Iraq invasion had zero to do with Saddam's violation of 17 UN Resolutions. The Resolutions were issued to remind Saddam, the Iraqi people and the world of the terms he agreed to in the 1991 ceasefire agreement. They were warnings to Saddam that his intransigence in breaking those terms would be met with severe consequences and penalties to himself and his people. They warned that severe punishments would be applied until he complied. The last punishment after sanctions and bombings proved useless was invasion and regime change: completely legal, completely moral, completely historical and just ; CONFIRMED, in fact by a UN Mandate granting legal status to the invading forces.

What Saddam's noncompliance with a valid ceasefire agreement between warring parties has in common with Israel taking lands from aggressor nations in a defensive war is beyond me; it ventures into the realm of mental incoherence, senselessness and moral stupidity.

P.S. The legality of the Iraq War has not even been challenged by the Obama administration. This might come as a shock to Ivan but the anti-war candidate is continuing to kill people and break things in Iraq because it's perfectly legal, moral and just to do so. I guess in Ivan's twisted sick leftist imagination Obama is a war criminal.

Perhaps Ivan didn't hear Obama's Cairo speech when he said: "The Iraqi people are better off today than they were under Saddam Hussein." In other words, Obama now approves of the legal, moral, justified invasion as something good and worthwhile, not the disaster of Ivan's pathological hatred of the great George Bush.

Either you're in denial or you didn't hear or read Obama's speech. 40 million people heard him say that the Iraqi people are better off today without Saddam Hussein. Read the speech and see for yourself. How can removing from power a brutal bloodthirsty dictator (who killed hundreds and thousands of his own people) leading to the significant improvement of their lives (social, economic and political), be immoral and wrong? It doesn't make any sense!
