Its Called a Trade-off

Given as most liberals are prone to intensional orientation and are given to either-or/black or white thinking, and an inability to accurately place things in context. That is why being anti-abortion, pro war and pro death penalty seem contradictory to Liberals. They are unable to determine the context and therefore the differences in those situations.

They don't realize that conservative Moral Values and Principles are not Absolutes. When they conflict ( and they often do outside of the Kindergarten set of ethics used by liberals, leftist and progressives) a trade-off must be made. Sometimes between two or more undesirable outcomes.

Absolute freedom implies Anarchy. Some Freedom is traded to Government in return for increased Order in which to excercise remaining freedoms, along with the risk that the power of the government will be abused. These are INCREMENTAL CHANGES which are the same types of changes used in economic transactions.

Liberals in general don't believe in incremental changes, but rather large sweeping ones which will affect everyone. Test a National Healthcare system on a smaller scale to see if it works? Nah. Heck, read the bill? Seems like a waste of time to me. I am sure those in power know what is best for me.

Actually both conservatives and liberals, especially when they practice identity politics, engage in all or nothing thinking. Not that all do from either group, but certain enough do.

And what American conservatives don't realize is that when America sins, it sins. They believe that context justifies what they condemn in others. Well then, what context justifies practicing terrorism or justifies overthrowing 50 gov'ts or destroying democracies or any other crime we have committed.

The basic conservative tenant is that they think that they, as conservative Americans, are special and thus their crimes are not crimes.

You are correct in saying that conservative Moral values are not absolute. That is why I have been saying that conservatives have been practicing what they accuse their liberal counterparts of doing: embracing moral relativity.

I agree that absolute freedom implies anarchy. Similarity, absolute individualism leads to a social irresponsibility that, left unchecked, makes death inevitable for others.

And, btw, we do not need to test a national health care on a smaller scale, it has been and, not without flaws, it has been working here and other places.

Who ar you to Judge

America does not exist in the Eyes of God. If I remember Correctly the Christian God has plans to judge individuals not groups.

Conservative Crimes may be crimes or they may not be in the eyes of God. You are NOT god, so I can't image how you presume to know.

Moral Relativity is Refusing to Have Principles or declare one thing better than another. By saying the survival of the country is more important than taking the moral high road is making a Heiracrchy of goods in an imprfect world.

"And, btw, we do not need to test a national health care on a smaller scale, it has been and, not without flaws, it has been working here and other places. "

Define WORKING. Everywhere Rationins is employed, actual success rates are lower and the standard of medicine available is lower. Oh wait, working means it makesyou feel all warm and fuzzy about your own self-righteousness, doesn't it?

Actually,

If you read Jesus' parable on the sheep and the goats, you will find that he gathers the nations before him. In addition, the nation of Israel was denounced by the prophets for abusing the poor and needy.
