we do not tend to think of the resurrection as a military rescue operation, but in reality it was and is. Jesus, the solo commando, broke the power and crushed the head of the terrorist enemy Satan. Thereby, He rescued his bride, the church.

a stunning victory especially when you comparing the training that Navy Seals receive vs the training that pirates receive. Was the rescue good? Of course. But how about looking at the causes of piracy instead of just taking the brute force approach.

Is it freedom that we are appreciating or prosperity? The difference being that freedom is earned by defeating an assailant. Prosperity can be achieved, in part, by being an aggressive power and dominating others.

Certainly, this Somali incident was an act of earning freedom for a captured American. But there have been plenty of times when the honor and valor of our troops carrying out a mission far outdid the honor of the mission assigned to them by the President. Sometimes, the result is that it puts our own civilians in the middle when retaliation comes. It always puts our troops in the middle.
