Crisis Management

Excellent analysis of what is happening and what could happen as the media focuses on the Jackson death, etc. I just may have to send the link for this post to my Senators to remind them there are people watching despite the distractions!

Sarge, it really saddens me to see

the amount of coverage that the state-owned media gives to a walking, talking freak show. As you correctly point out - there were many other things going on that are of importance to all of the world's inhabitants - yet those other items barely got noticed after MJ expired. Personally, I'll miss Farah and Ed McMahon, MJ not so much.

Nice review

Sgt. take a look at my new one on EPA. More bad news or good if the Pubs would only force the issue. Amazing that the BHO transparency turns out to be all lies on every domestic and foreign agenda. Bread and Circuses.

Mrs.AL, Garnet, Rackoons

Thanks all of you for stopping and commenting.

Mrs.AL-I'm honored that you would consider using my work to help the cause. By all means, have at it!

Garnet-I was heartened to hear Michael Savage playing clips of Liz Trotta making the same point I made. I don't need the validation, but it never hurts.

Glen-be by later this evening. The EPA has turned into a prop of the administration. Very unfortunate.

Never Let A Chance To "Cover Up" Pass

Does anyone really believe that the O'Vomit Administration is NOT using MJ's death as "interference" for their real objectives?

And the MSM goes right along with them. It is a sad commentary on the MSM. Perhaps this is why I really haven't watched them in over 20 years.

I think it would require the willing suspension of disbelief to think that the administration would let the "crisis" of MJ's death go to waste. Can you imagine the standing of the US in the world if Bush had a complicit media throughout his 2 terms? Barry would never have been able to get elected, that's for sure.

The MSM has dug such a big hole for themselves in the credibility department, and they just keep doubling down. Frightening.

I wish we could kick Betsy Markey out of Colorado. She embarrasses this great state.

whoops

It's Ed Markey. Both of them stink.

Eric-Don't know about Betsy, but Ed from Mass. is a nut case. I'm sure that state is used to having that type of "leadership".

Gar-Pithy, concise and most of all, true.

A washed up, possibly suicidal entertainer who had long ago ceased being an entertainer.

Perhaps the best summation of him. I was never entertained by his music. Never thought he had much talent.

BTW, stay tough on the gloBULL warming. WE ARE RIGHT on this.

We must be right...the left is going through all kinds of crazy machinations trying to cover up any news and stifle the debate. You only do that when you don't have the truth on your side.

On the other hand, some times I feel like Lone Watie in Josey Wales. I will keep endeavoring to persevere. To a point.

"We thought about it for a long time, "Endeavor to persevere." And when we had thought about it long enough, we declared war on the Union."

Locked and loaded.

Crisis of Leadership

Great blog and thread, Sgt.Stryker! The coverage of MJ continues to be completely overblown and unnecessary. This celebrity culture is the reason the prez got elected in the first place. Congress passes bills that have not been read or written! Talk about arrogant abuses of power! They must be held accountable! Sheesh!

dawndawn

Sad but true. Fortunately, the veneer is fading quickly, and people are starting to wake up.

Hopefully it's not to late.

More people know about Michael Jackson than they do about what is going on around them.

I will say that Michael Jackson did knock Gov Sanford down a few, but then Sanford decided to come out and share his stories. Please get this guy a PR person or a gag.

Transparency is a pile of cement. Nothing more and nothing less.

Sue

The Sanford story is unfortunate indeed, but certainly better now than later (like NOV 2010). Turns out he's as flaky as my Kelloggs cereal. I was kind of digging his position on not accepting the stimulus funds. I guess we'll have to look elsewhere.

I'm guessing you didn't apply for the MJ Visitation Lottery and Traveling Medicine Show?

Sgt Stryker

You wrote: "Who knows who and how many will have to die to cover up all of these items?" More than we want to think about, Sgt Stryker.

As for my post on the 29th, never expect a response from those who are covering up!!!

Mrs.AL

thanks for stopping by again and picking up on that little tidbit.

While I obviously don't believe this administration caused MJ's death, I do believe they are all about capitalizing on chaos to hide their true agenda, and any event is fair game.

Gar

Thanks for checking on me. I'm good, been on a bit of a hiatus. There's so much to opine about, but so many others doing such a great job of it, I feel like I'm preaching to the choir. Been reading a lot, Friedman and Hayek specifically, so I'll be referring to them frequently in upcoming posts.

How's it going where you're at?

sarge

how's things in your neighborhood?

Sgt

Glad to hear it's all OK.
Good out here on the Left Coast... except for having gotten 'stimulated' by Kim Jong Obama with a metric buttocks load of DOE $$ to spend.
Doing my best though, working ten hours a day (or more) Helps to 'stimulate' my personal economy at least.

davecat

Kind of chilly down here, to be honest. I really miss global warming.

Been keeping a low profile and basically just observing. I think we got quite an echo-chamber here...getting difficult (for me, at least) to offer up anything original, so, for the time being, I'm just going to stick to the pithy comments.

What's cracking in NKY?

Gar

We are flush with Clunker $ here in Little Tokyo, but it's fool's gold. We are working OT and still face cuts in Sept and Nov. Spurious is one word that comes to mind...dubious is another. Glad to hear you're getting yours.

NKY?

Honestly, I don't go across the river often. Funny, isn't it. Cincy's fighting over streetcars and light rail projects while talking about laying off 138 cops. Brilliant, eh? We're getting excited about Washington on 9/12, wish you were going, but I understand....

sarge

Sorry it took me so long to get over here!

If it isn't a celebrity death, it'll be something else that will serve as distraction. And it will always be something that we really shouldn't be paying mind to.

You know, one of my good friends just got back from a 15 month tour of duty in Afghanistan in late June. He posted on his facebook the other day that he is so sad to come back and see that all people care about is Britney Spears shaving her head and Michael Jackson dying and no one is acknowledging the good things our troops are doing and the sacrifice they are making. He is so right...

The sheeple have spoken. Ignorance truely is bliss.
