People have died from being tasered
It seems to me that tasers are being used way too much. With 6 police officers laying on this boy on the floor, I would think that would be quite sufficient without bringing out a taser and shocking him.
It has been quite a few years since I was in college, but this type of thing would never have happened back in those days. The microphone was put there for the students to ask questions. So what, he went over his allotted time? Does it merit being tasered? What are we becoming in this country?
No, the student needs to learn some manners perhaps, but the police officers need to go back to basic training, or at the very least, severely reprimanded. Tasers can be a lethal device and should not be used lightly. This should serve as a wake up call to us all. Our once referred to as, "peace officers", seem to have forgotten who it is that employs them and have decided they are our masters and we are their slaves. This is not a good direction.

Tasers
People have been killed by Tasers.
Police officers have also been killed by nutbags resisting arrest.
Lay off police officers. I think they deserve the benefit of a doubt ESPECIALLY when no one was even hurt in this incident. This kid was uncontrollable, and I think a textbook case of when tasers are useful.

tasers
Six cops or one cop, they dont want any more physical contact than necessary.
They tried the minumum physical restraint and it escalated to the point where none of the cops should not have to risk injury. Hes lucky it wasnt the sixties. He would of been black and blue form batons.
Not to be macho, its quite embaressing really, but 5 cops tried to get me in a cell once and they couldnt do it so they pepperd me. I understand the cops situation. Most people dont.
If this gentleman was being denied any free speech then everybody there should be able to stand up and blurt anytime they want ?
