Umm...did he or did he not moderate the townhall debate? Did he or did he not pick and choose the questions to be asked, on top of the fact that he asked about 9 that were his own?

I feel that 9 questions should have been sufficient to get a feel for Obama's "worldview." 9 questions should have been sufficient to find out a thing or two about his feelings on foreign policy. I could ask 3 questions and get sufficient information to formulate an educated opinion on what will happen with him in office.

The media has FAILED the American people and they are finding out too little too late exactly how hypocritical and biased they are. They scrutinized McCain and Sarah Palin over the issues when it came to foreign policy (especially Governor Palin), but when it came to the dem ticket and the person who would be FIRST in command on the ticket, they acted like it was no big thing because "he speaks so well!"

No offense (ok strike that) but Obama is NOT an eloquent speaker. He stutters. He was on stage saying how much he loved his little girls and sounded like a robot. It wasn't from his heart. Even at what should have been the most proud and amazing moment of his life he sounded scripted. A moment where we should have seen the REAL Obama. We say the typical teleprompter king at work.

My journalistic career goes as far as I copy edited and wrote for my high school newspaper for 4 years. I wrote movie, music, and book reviews, a column, and for sports occassionally. And even with that, I have a better grip on journalism when it comes to politics and how to successfully research and pull out the good information from the BS.

Carl is just doing his job,reporters use anonymous sources all the time. If he hadn't reported it it would have showed up else where. In the fair and balanced debate disent comes from internal as well as external sources. Another commenter said they shouldn't have reported it. That's no different than the cover up of Obama.

A free press reports newsworthy stuff, with objectivity. The stuff neither side like at times. Are we going to apply the unfairness doctrine now from the right?

I want no part of that.

Speakign of duped... I ended a conversation with a liberal after answering some questions for them, th The whole story will be up at my place shortly.

I have a friend in Northern CA and for some reason on election night she was having problems with her Dish network thing. The only channel that was coming in clear was MSNBC and she never watches it. Ah, Golden Retrievers are such good pets. I love them myself, but Gos will have only German Shepherds. Lucky for me I brought my Welsh Corgi to the family.

We now have a wonderful family, Shadow, the shepherd, Dakota, corgi, and Mystic, our cat who wandered in here one day and Gos just had to take the poor little guy in.

Amazingly enough, Shadow, who used to kill cats, seems to have taken a likening to Mystic. They even cuddle together. Shocking!! But after Foxy, the other shepherd died, poor Shadow has been lost.

Dakota, my dog, is such a little independent cuss, he needed no cuddling. But, Dakota and Shadow do sleep together now.

Aa far as a dog for the little Obama girls, if they absolutely have to have one, a poodle would be a good choice. Poodles are smart and low maintenance. The groomer will be on call. I like poodles. I had to put my little 12 year old poodle down two years ago and am still not over her! Still tear up when I look at her picture! We now have a two year old golden lab, Maya, who is just starting to settle down! She is so gentle we are thinking of getting another poodle as a toy/companion for her, and me!

Speaking of shedding, we're in the middle of shedding hell here. Between Dakota and Shadow we have tumbleweeds blowing around in the house every day. It doesn't matter how much I sweep the house, more piles up. Geesh. I just can't keep up with it.
I take them outside and brush them almost every day or every other day, but it makes no difference.

I have good news and am proud to announce that Ron sold two of his 3 paintings he entered into the Art Guild Show in Morehead.

Citizen's Bank bought a landscape he had painted of an area on the farm with one of the creeks and painted a great blue heron in the picture.

A private individual bought his Cougar painting standing on some boulders in deep woods with a pond. He also received a 3rd place ribbon for that painting.

His third painting of an Indian girl sitting on a log in deep woods feeding a squirrel received an Honorary Ribbon, but it did not sell.

Southwestern art is not popular in this area. But the painting is absolutely beautiful and we expect to sell it on Ron's new website when he completes the work on the site.

We just wanted to share our good news and I am so proud of Ron. He has quite a wonderful talent and spends painstaking time with his oil paintings.

So, this time we have some good news to report. LOL!

You've got a good point you make there. I think that is why some of them are already expressing some fear. Joe does have a good point about the press and media. It seems to me we just had wwitnessed a politically correct, affirmative action (s)election. And it didn’t matter if he was a socialist, a communist sympathyzer, or even whether he was born here. At least not enough to check it out.

One guess is MSM did not do it because it would not be appropriate to ask and find out those things. That wouldn’t look good considering race and his popularity. Certainly it's not worth the amount of time and attention as, say, George Bush’s record was; whether W was fit for commander in Chief; or the inquisition about his favorite philosopher, Jesus. We are so used to looking at the bias it doesn’t surprise us.

Maybe no one wanted to on the messiah’s toes. Even Pontius Pilate was a little more ethical and thorough. Just think, a Supreme Court nomination or an Attorney General gets questioned far more than they do a president. Good thing he wasn’t a nominee of Bush….Whew!

This is the same crowd who wears “Bork” like a feather in their hat. Or how about that Valerie Plame? (Those were the days…) Yea, proving an original birth certificate, and answering questions is certainly going tooooo far into the swamp.

That is just insanity. The church are just entitled to their beliefs as gays are. You can make your point without acting like a complete heathen, but apparently it is coming to the point in this country where we are unable to protest peacefully and respectfully.

I am not saying the church hasn't been guilty of their own atrocious actions (i.e. the Western Baptist Church protesting at military funerals) and I myself personally experienced judgement and borderline harrassment from Kansas church goers when I lived in Wichita for a short time in 2007.

Yes, Gos has won so many awards and ribbons at shows out in CA before he arrived here in KY. He never had to show his work really as he was commissioned on almost all his work once he got started. He actually got so much work he couldn't keep up with it as he was also working his regular job. But he has the time now being retired.

Gos doesn't give a hoot about ribbons or awards. He just likes to paint and sell them to people who appreciate his art work.

Also this is how Gos has always wanted to make his real living, but being an artist that is difficult as you must realize.

He just needs to get a start our here in KY where the tastes in art are much different from the southwest.

He has beautiful southwest art, but I think that will need to be sold online. Also I will be submitting his work to Somerset House on recommendation from a friend who deals in art and she is an expert. She believes Gos could eventually command very good prices at Somerset House as she believes his works are comparable to the artists on that site.

Either way, we are in the process of trying to make this work out because this is Gos's dream. I would like to see him get his dream, of spending his time only on his art which he loves.

I'm afraid it's more likely the liberal judges will let them off, you know, these guys were just driving through when the war was going on and got caught up in it innocently.
