What would you have done to end the war against Japan in 1945 - pull all our troops back home? Invade Japan itself? Negotiate a peace treaty and let them be? Let's hear your grand strategy that you apparently think is superior to Marshall and Truman's.

Perhaps you should read the entire history of WW2, consider the context of the times, and consider the irrational obstinance of the Japanese in 1945 before you start spouting your 20/20 hindsight inanities.
