Forget fighting terror abroad, new research indicates there may be bigger problems in our own backyard!

Not Many U.S. Muslims Blame al Qaeda (AP)

According to a study released May 22, 2007 by Pew Research Center:

- 7% of U.S. Muslims under 30 indicated favorable view to al Qaeda;

- 26% of U.S. Muslims under 30 answered "Yes" to the pollsters question: "Can Suicide Bombing of Civilian Targets to Defend Islam be Justified?"

- 60% of the Muslim Americans "do not believe Arab men carried out the attacks of Sept. 11, 2001."



Think! One in four younger U.S. Muslims say suicide bombings of Civilian Targets to defend their religion are acceptable at least in some circumstances, a poll says.


"It is a hair-raising number," said Radwan Masmoudi, president of the Washington-based Center for the Study of Islam and Democracy, which promotes the compatibility of Islam with democracy.

Thanks, Paul, for making the effort to reach even if only one, person with your ideas. We agree with them. A couple of ideas follow.

1. Have you heard of the theory that one of the phenomena that helped produce the Social Security problem is that the actuaries who designed the SS plan could not have imagined that FDR's party would allow the elimination of 50 million potential SS contributors? Look into that.

2. The Day of Silence is something that we are fighting locally, with great success. Apparently principals and superintendents understand that if they kowtow to the two or three kids who have been told it's ok to be homosexual they will be sued and it will be expensive, especially since they have been losing these kinds of cases.
