A Modern Plague and Disjointed Beliefs

DNC: Your piece is excellent. I wrote one called "The Myth of the Moderate Muslims," with some similar insights. The question as always is: what do we do about the situation? The situation in Britain in pathetic -- fearfulness, pandering to fanatics, a total lack of conviction. I don't know how you debate -- or "dialogue" -- with people suffering from intellectual and political exhaustion. It's not something about which to be optimistic. Part of the problem (sad to say) is with the American people and our elected officials. There are few people in DC talking plain sense to the electorate.

about terrorism with the very liberal editor of a very left-wing progressive website over the past few days he came at me with this:

“Today, in America...some terrorist planted a bomb at an abortion clinic.
Guess there are religious nuts everywhere, eh?”

Out of the 188 known terrorist groups listed as “Religious” 173 of them are Islamic in nature. 5 are Christian, 6 are Jewish, 1 is Neo Nazi (shouldn’t be in this group), 1 is Hindu and there are 2 mixed/miscellaneous.

Remember Salman Rushdie and his book Satanic Verses in 1988? Do you remember the death threat? Threats not only from millions of nut bag Muslims world-wide but from the leaders of countries! One of his translators was murdered over it and another was attacked (tried to kill him & failed) America had nothing to do with that!

Remember when the towers fell and we saw 1 or 2 people in the streets of Iran, Iraq, Turkey, Saudi Arabia, Afghanistan dancing and screaming “Death to America”! The only problem here is that it wasn’t 1 or 2 people. It wasn’t even a few hundred. The homes and shops were emptied and the streets were filled with millions of gleeful haters of you and me and anyone else who is not Muslim because that is what their Quran teaches them to do.

Remember the death and rioting over one false Newsweek article about flushing a Quran down the toilet down in GITMO?

Remember the death and rioting world wide by MILLIONS (not just a few handfuls) of Muslims over the freaking cartoons?

Remember the nun who was hacked to death while screaming “I forgive you” over the comments made by the Pope? And the priests who were murdered because of them?

Remember Van-Gogh being stabbed to death over his 12 minute documentary about how the Quran directs Muslims to treat its women as possessions and to beat them if disobedient?

Remember the Christians rioting worldwide and demanding the beheading of the artist over the pisz-Christ painting? Oh… wait, that never happened…
