Hey Skep! -- Really enjoy reading your blog! -- Cannot believe anything good will come out of this bailout/rescue fiasco -- Hope the GOP in the house can hold out and cause Madame much distress -- Very juicy tidbit from Rush about Obaby having a little meltdown in the Cabinet Room yesterday! -- He`s not supposed to have to work, you know! -- haha -- Made my day -- Looking forward to the debate tonight! --

The Clintonistas have caused this debacle but we have to do something. There will be a very unpalatable compromise that will pass but the Dem's have been defeated. McCain will paste Obama with this. MC can give the details of the plan he supports. Can BO? I don't think so.

skep, he held up pretty well
obama held up pretty well in terms of delivery. less stammering, but still rattled at points. i think mccain won, but it was not a knockout, by any stretch. mccain won on substance, i think. but in terms of packaging for the average voter, clearly a draw.

I have to agree with BG on this one. I also thought McCain did a clumsey job of describing the state of the military following Vietnam.
He painted it as a loss by our Army and the demoralization that follows beinging defeated. I know what he was trying to say but it didn't come out that way.

The problem for Obama is that he has the shadow of his radicalism hanging over him. He has to give people a positive reason to vote for him. He didn't. All McCain had to do was show he wasn't too old fpr the job. He did. Victory McCain. But he didn't speak to my heart. Every answer he gave I would have given a much more strongly ideological one.
