No [State of the] Union

I did not watch the speech, only a few minutes. I could not take Pelosi ready to jump out of her seat every five seconds ready to kiss Obama silly.

I read the transcript this morning and have seen the clips on television. As you brought up in your post, we are not a unified country. When Obama got elected, people cheered and we were all unified and the love fest began. But, to me that is not the truth.

I also don't recall being one big happy family when Clinton was in office. It seems every one blames Bush for our "division."

As for the speech, it read like a campaign speech and really nothing else.

You are so right about the speech...all campaign platitudes. Ick and so boring! And Nancy Pelosi was hilariously foolish...like a slobbering puppy dog.

And you are right-on about the "big happy family" lie that media-types want us to buy into.

This country hasn't been united since Ronald Reagan...as you said we were divided during Clinton's years as well.

But division is what radicals like Obama want...Saul Alinsky laid it out in his book step-by-step. How to divide and conquer to force a Marxist agenda. And Obama is in lock-step with that plan.

Excellent essay, ConservaTease! pbho is a fraud and phony. His mad spending spree of trillions of dollars in only the first month points in one direction: the beginning of reparations. Mortgages, health care, college education are the three-legged stool of amabOsocialism. Control of the message and media is already in his "hip" pocket. No matter how the rest of us may struggle and suffer through these hard economic times, we must always be very aware that pbho and his gang of thieves lack for nothing.

Did you notice, not only have we been divided for awhile, I have to agree with you going back to Reagan. I could not vote then, but I agree with you. I don't remember all wine and roses during Clinton. I was not holding hands and singing songs.

Obama's plan is really scary. I thought he was going to be bad, but this is out of control. I am surprised how much he is trying to ram down our throats. I knew there would be stuff, but this is too much.
