most people know that this is the way reporters report, but they maintain a bit of a doubt that just perhaps, maybe, my analysis might be wrong, and this reporter might be right. Do most Americans support....? Because we are lazy. It takes work and diligence to find truth in this day and age.

You're quite right about the necessity for work and diligence. They used to be American hallmarks, and we need them now more than ever, particularly, as you say, when it comes to finding truth these days. I'll have more thoughts on this tomorrow.
