hastert ought to score a reversal

I don't think there are hardly any Republican leaders who are brave enough to dish it out too. I hate to use the term of a TV show that I can't stand but I do wish the GOP would learn to play a little hardball for a change.

I wish whoever reads this a happy Christmas season and a good new year. We haven't bought a Cristmas tree and we just bought a few gifts. The commercialization of everything is just ridiculous. I guess it's something we have to live with. It's not worth making a personal campaign about, but I'm glad the season seemed to be a little shorter this year, at least for me. I'm glad to hear about the UN santions on Iran, but I think it's too little, and UN actions are mostly symbolic anymore. I'm glad to see talk of escalating the number of troops in Iraq. Also, I'm glad to see that secular Holland is now seeing a revival of sorts in the face of the growth of Islam. See the article in The Weekly Standard, the first issue of 2007.
