You're right.

I think the trickiest thing is going to be keeping focus.

Many of my right-leaning friends are so busy working, raising families, and keeping the house put together, that they don't have the time or energy to talk to their friends about the importance of the elections and how CRITICAL it is to vote.

This goes double for California.

hmmm... maybe I'll get a big pile of absentee voter apps and start giving them out to everybody.

Exactly - I just grabbed a few voter apps myself and am hounding a few non-commits I know to get themselves dusted off.

California is near and dear to my heart - I would spend time on the floor laughing if it righted itself a bit and left the DNC slack-jawed for a few years.
