It is an oxymoron to describe yourself as a staunch conservative when you are an Obama supporter.

Let's use logic, not emotion
Read my other posts. You will find plenty of data to support my claim to conservatism, and none in support of Obama. Do you disagree with what I have written? Then refute my points with facts or reasoned argument.
Does conservatism presuppose an unwillingness to criticize the candidate of one's own party?

Logic?
Hi, Madmardy! First, I don`t dispute any of what you have written in the past!
Second, if you are a conservative and cannot support McCain because of your ideology, you would either vote for Bob Barr or abstain, etc. A true, staunch conservative could never vote for Obama.
There are other conservative bloggers on TH who would never vote for John McCain under any circumstances. They call themselves the Orphans. Not one has come out and said they would vote for Obama!

of course not
Just as I didn't. Maybe you misread my post. What I said was, Obama was the REASON I am voting for McCain. I was lamenting the fact that I can't vote for McCain for McCain's sake. I must vote for McCain to keep Obama out of office. It's just a shame I can't vote for McCain for his own sake, or for Palin's.
