Also, We never hear or read about the number of deaths caused by aspirin every year. Hmmmm, I wonder why?

Jimmy: The FDA has a long and storied past. It was changed in the days of Kefauver so that drugs approved by it would be both safe and effective.

Now that there are so many connections between and among drug companies and those at the FDA, some of whom participate in the approval of drugs for marketing, we may look with a more jaundiced eye at the good ole FDA. I believe Kefauver had a good idea: he simply did not realize the amount of greed that could be generated by some life-saving drugs.

It starts a whole new area of discussion, and I could probably go for days cussin and discussin the pros and cons of the FDA. There's this, though: it ain't what it used to be.

There's too much money to be made.
