We do need to gather our strength for the fight ahead. How we do that, I'm not sure, but I think you have a seed of an idea here. One thing I would like to see, is likeminded bloggers and others having face-to-face meetings in their geographic areas. It's very hard to organize ourselves online like this. Garnet92 (Pesky Truth) and I live in the same area, so we are going to have a beer tomorrow. It's a start. Maybe we could get the blog admin. to make it easier to find others in the same area.

I think Obama is going to be a gigantic failure.
There are a lot of things for him to try to fix. Like healthcare, and this economy, while keeping his promise to give tax cuts to 95% of Americans, while also making sure that social security stays strong.
And thats just a small part. The list is very very very very very very very very long. Obama might also destroy the coal industry which will cost many Americans their jobs or possible jobs as well as make utility bills higher.
The guy has promised a lot of things to a lot of people. Now how can a president who doesn't do half the things that he promised to succeed? I don't think he will. Not that I hope that, but it is just true.
And his re-election campaign will have to be much much different. It would be completely rediculous for him to try to run off of change as the incumbent. Rather he will be forced to campaign against change and explain why his policies and his administrations are so good and work so well. Anything is possible, but I think it is not likely to work very well for him then.

Look, the bottom line is that we conservatives can come back, and sooner than many think. Just 4 years ago we were the majority party. But we need to go back to values and morals most of all. And exposing the immorality of the liberals.
If we can work hard and show this democrat disaster for what it is, then we can make 2010 a good thing. It must not be another losing election for conservatives. It needs to be a winning election for conservatives and there is no reason why it can't be.
First we need to focus on the house elections and make a very big effort to win back the house and get them liberals out of there. That means making sure that you got a conservative congressman or congresswoman and if your district is already locked up for a conservative then help out others that are not. Then we also need to focus on the senate. If it is at all possible to win back the senate, then in 2012 we may be the ones who would be getting 60 seats.
Then we need to make sure that these become fighters, exposing the liberal hatred for what it is and what it wants to do to America.

They are a resistance, so to speak. Their goal is to have 1 million people signed up b January 20. I have heard over and over that the Obama camp has 4 million in their database.
Also, I have to say that moveon.org did wonderful things for Obama. I don't agree with the site, but I went to it the day after the election. They had a map and each state was broken down by what they did, raise money, voter registration, etc. I have to say it was extremely organized. And boy did they raise money for him.

Another idea that could work in parallel is to communicate through a site of our own. I know BrianR for instance has a tinyurl site, whether he is in or not for that idea, I do not know. Something like that would also be a good place to get daily communication out and then alerts could be sent via email as well. That would keep emails low and the info would still spread. Make the site a non-blog site with a large core of conservative moderators and you don't have to worry about liberals getting in. If they do, nothing they can do.
Just an idea.
Jackpine also has a couple sites of his own, and he could be interested in helping here. He already has a chatroom for conservatives on TH. A site with an IRC room in it could be cool too. Jack would be a great guy to talk to on this issue. his blog is 'fundmental' here on townhall if you want to get him in on it.
I talked with GunnyG and BrianR about something similar that but wouldn't be necessarily underground type networking a few months back. The idea I put forth above is closer to what we talked about. I like both ideas hehe. Ill be emailing you.

I think a lot of us are feeling that way. A lot of us on our list are the "oldtimers" you speak of. We can reach everybody on our list in one click of the mouse. I'm now creating a list of our "Representatives", Gov't offices, talk show hosts & print commentators, and conservative PAC's, politically active Christian organizations, etc. If something comes up that we want to speak up on, we'll be able to contact any or all of these people in one fell swoop. Most recently the Obama "Certificate of Live Birth" has been getting a lot of traffic.
Anyway, we're all discouraged, disgusted, angry.......you name it. I believe there will be plenty to speak up about when Commiebama gets in office. We're just getting into a position to do it.
Think about it and let us know. If you want to email me, I'll send you our current list. You'll see most of the names you're most familiar with. I won't distribute your address until or unless you give permission.

There already is a site that represent conservation ideals and it is grassfire.net. It is set up to bring issues to your e-mail address daily if you want it to be. Grassfire also provides an opportunity to e-mail our leaders to let them know WHAT the people think and not what is reported in the liberal press.
Bobbie has a good idea but there is already an origination that is in place to reach hundreds of thousands of conversatives.
Please join them and make your e-mails (voices) be heard...loudly!

I am still here watching the disaster unfold.
Unfortunately I have been incredably busy of late.
I bought a house in mid december ( doing my part to prop up the econmy the right way) and have been busy at work.... which is where i did most of my blogging.

I think you said the problem with my browser had to do with google. I have asked a couple of friends if they have problems from my emails but I haven't gotten any real answers. The only thing I know to do is pay for an upgrade with AVG and hopefully cover the problem that I am not sure of yet.....I have to be careful with money right now.
I have also been working a lot lately so I'm totally fried mentally and physically when I get home at night. I do banquet work. I also have to take Holly my daughter's 8th month old Jack Russell out and let her play twice a day so she'll let me have some peace. I've never had to take care of a dog before ...it's a lot of work.

As a former reporter, copy editor and proofreader, the one thing that drives me most nuts in this modern computer-dominated, put-it-up-fast information highway, is the sloppiness in spelling, usage, shorthand, and typographical errors. Especially the spelling and typos.
Personally, I refuse to LOL or LMAO, no matter how funny something might be. Nearly every day I see a YCB12, or something like it, that I can't understand no matter how hard I try.
What really frosts my gourd, however, is the huge volume of ignorant or typographical misspells in most of what I read. Come on people, you're destroying the language of civilized social discourse.
Before you post, read what you wrote. Fix the errors. You will look smarter for it.

Well Bobbie looks like this self appointed self interested narcissist of blog sherrif "Liberty" found his way to you as well. He claims to be a republican. Since I'm a conservative not a republican I guess that's no big thing. In fact this guy is whining about form and style, grammatic rules, but doesn't seem to think there's ever any substance worth commenting on. I suppose like most narcissists, he's just a bit too in love with himself to care what others have to say. I think he must work for the Star Tribune hence the offence he takes to anyone commenting negatively about it; thus his urge to attack, via links and threads,those who associate such a person.
I think we can add this nut to the long list of coopmeisters, Ben K. Chas' and the like.
