If Only
Oh how I wish the UN would get shut down. I dont think it will survcive too much longer. maybe another decade or so. I am just grateful that its incompetence and ineptitude are finally becoming fairly commonly known. Five years ago its wasnt the case.

I hope you are right!
Unfortunately when I talk to my Liberal friends they still hold those cretins on the East River in veneration. It's amazing how blind people can choose to be.

This more than....
disproves the left (again), this is more proof that the UN is a pathetic inept organization concerned about nothing but maintaining itself.

History Does Repeat Itself
The UN proves this almost daily. One could say that possibly even the League of Nations was better in ways! But again, they are just like them in so many others. I think the UN went really wrong when it decided to be the political action arm of the EU. Ever since then, they were more about degrading and disabling the EU's competitors (namely the USA) than they were true to Harry Truman's mission statement on what the UN was supposed or used to be.
Time to change the locks on the UN building and give all the stuffed shirts and togas a free plane ride to Brussels where they belong.

I second the motion!
In truth, once it became too inclusive it was bound to become another example of mob democracy, and the mob always turns against its betters, in this case the world's hyperpower, the US. Envy and greed are ugly emotions.
It would have happened earlier but the Soviet Union made many countries need the US's protection.
