The problem with blogs is that too often you are just writing those profound musings too yourself. At least when you send it to the editor of some rag someone who will never agree with you might read the first line.

I/we that are joining Townhall's blogs may be preaching to the choir but it feels good to not be alone in rational logic.

As for your flag thoughts.. dead on.

I pretty much agree with the previous comment from "fly" regarding the purpose in having a blog.

If your purpose is primarily to draw attention to yourself and your ability to express your opinions in writing you have already lost the battle.
Writing in support of a worthy cause makes more sense in my opinion especially during these times of severe political division within our country.

It's true enough that very few people will ever read your thoughts, but it's still worth the try.
