Economic Woes, My Observation

Just lambs to the slaughter

The economic woes are real. They may be hyped but are real. One of the biggest motivators is the drop in gas and oil. If these prices did not drop then the images you spoke of in your post would be a lot worse. OPEC is already stating that the want to get the price of oil to 75 or 80 dollars a barrel. Gas will then be around 3.00 dollars again. The drop in these prices was to accommodate the holidays. Yes demand has dropped because of financial woes in other countries as well, but with gas going from over 4 dollars a gallon to under 2 people will spend more liberally. But what till after the first of the year you will see the prices go back up. Then people will stop spending again. But the real problem will be when the bills for the holidays come in and at the same time. People will be made to choose again between gas or movies and going out to eat or credit card bills. The powers that be are manipulating things for their gain.

Thanks for the comment. I agree with your point about the economic woes being real. I did read about the Saudi's thinking the $75 per barrel being the target. Hopefully that won't happen as fast as they'd like it to, but it sure seems that we won't be introducing any more supply into the oil pipelines to prevent it. The OPEC nations would have to decrease production by some 3 plus million barrels to make that goal...so says the ever to trustworthy media...because of the lower demand world wide, so we shall see. I did see the price for gas here in Anderson Indiana jump 15 cents per gallon on Friday morning. I didn't hear about any increase in price per barrel to make that happen either...makes one wonder.

I've written recently about our government (at least those in the majority now) wanting "we the people" to be in debt. Nothing new there, they want us dependent on them, so perhaps this is manipulation by the powers that be. I tend to think that We spoiled Americans (as a whole) tend to forget about yesterday as soon as we wake up in the morning. Hence the easy manipulation I guess, and the deadly stampedes for a frigging TV. It is surreal.

I did not go in to town untill the first rush was just about over.
But here in Montana the parkinglots where crowded ,
the carts where stuffed and the good old Christmas greed was in full swing.
Our gasprices stand at $1.75 right now. How long will that last ? Who knows .
But then ,I was told just the other day that the 'annionted one' will make things better.
That scares me!!

The Annointed One

Get used to the fact that all that goes well will be because of Obama, and all that does not will be because of Republicans and conservatives. The media will ensure that message is repeated and repeated until all the sheeple are in the pen.

I'd like to hope that everyone out there shopping and spending money are not using credit cards to do so and that a huge lesson has been learned, but I know better. I'm still curious if it was similar all over the country. Thanks for your comment.
