Why I'm no Longer a Republican; 3 charts

Great Graphs, However...

I lived through Carter and still voted Democrat in every election up until the second Bill Clinton term. After promising to change government (which is always the problem, not the solution) I decided to switch parties.

True enough that Bush has bloated the deficit, but that's because he is no consevative. Lower taxes, less government is always the way to go... and that is not Democrat!

Not Republican

'Lower taxes, less government is always the way to go... and that is not Democrat!'

Well my graphs show it's certainly not Republican. Nearing $10,000,000,000,000 dollars of debt mostly under Republican presidents and you are suggesting they might be the party of less government.

That's a myth that the graphs clearly dispel. And if Clinton or the post-FDR governments were slightly larger the stable economic growth and strong economic fundamentals of those periods argues against your claim, "Lower taxes, less government is always the way to go."
