The violence playing out on the streets of St. Paul, MN, is appalling. It would appear that there is an inability or unwillingness on the part of city administrators and police to prohibit thugs from terrorizing citizens and visitors alike. Freedom of speech is a cherished American right, but blatant terrorism is unprotected criminal activity. The RNC Convention will define St. Paul much as Hurricane Katrina defined Mayor Blanco and Governor Blanco, the indelible example of lack of preparedness, ineptitude and impotence in enforcement of the law.
