This post was absolutely spot on, one of the best pieces of analysis I've read about this election.

Obama is approaching this election like a lawyer, if he doesn't like the facts, he refocuses or changes the issue. Every single move that he makes is extremely calculated, which is very effective. Since he has no record and has carefully avoided making any real decisions throughout his career, he can be a chameleon, and the electorate, with short attention spans will buy what he's selling.

The one thing to add is that I have never heard Obama admit to a mistake, he always reframes or clarifies the issue, but he is never wrong. That, combined with the blind alliegance of his followers and his charisma makes him a very scary prospect.
