SwiftBoating and BaitingtheObama? The same thing?

Homeless 1/2 BRO, & Hapless Bro

Think he played the envy card too early.

To theoilpatchploug (our cowboy?)

Well I do think he played a card too early. I also think he played another card too late... the Get out of Jail Free card.

But what I really think is the cards he has... stink. He doesn't even have dueces.

But then he does have "cajones".

I wish I knew more about "Homeless 1/2 Bro, and Hapless Bro"...

But I don't.

Swiftboating, my as*

I did a lot of research during the Swifties attack on John Kerry in 2004 and all of my conclusions were that Kerry is a liar and verges on being a coward. The Swifties were right on practically everything yet the dems and MSM have tried to persuade Americans that all of their claims have been disproved - BS, saying it doesn't make it so. That's a continuing problem in that they are now using the "Swiftboating" term as a verb with the definition of something like "inaccurate accusations, not worthy of rebuttal." So much BS. Good post, Mikie!

You're an idiot

The point wasn't about whether the swiftboaters were true or not, it was the fact that the Republicans, in their effort to win an election at any cost, reverted to smear tactics as opposed to debating the issues. When Republicans don't have any new ideas, or can't defend such a dismal performance in Washington, their strategy is to revert to character assassination, which the Obama campaign is not allowing to happen in this election cycle. They are being offensive as well as defensive and keeping the focus on the issues that Americans care about the most.

ummmm...

Mikie,

Betcha a dollar that YOU HAVE NEVER BEEN IN COMBAT.
Please do yourself a huge favor and keep your unbridled ignorance to yourself.

Garnet92... It was not your as*

In my humble opinion what you wrote came from "upstairs".

I can't say the same for the next two.

Okay Mark. I am an Idiot.

But from your post I believe you are better at it than I am. But not as good as Obama, though.

I think Obama realizes that the way he can win is to get people to believe his stories. So when he says he was "Swiftboated" that story is supposed to be taken as a fact by some gullible supporter.

Thanks... your it.

Dave... No Need to Bet

I have not been in "combat" as I think you want "combat" to be understood in your post.

But I did serve... and I have been to Vietnam during the conflict... in 1966 in Saigon setting up equipment for something that perhaps you don't recall.

If you were there... in the military in 1966 or any other time before or later you might understand there are many MOS's in the military.

Mine was a surprise to me. It was not "combat" in the sense of guns or mortars or tanks. But it was "combat" none the less. I was certainly no less important.

My job was more difficult than pulling a trigger on an M-16 or blowing up some "goons" with a grenade... not that you did any of that.

I don't know if you have earned the right with your post to even know what my military job was.

But if you served back then and are making a sincere point about what I have written then I do think you should know what I did for my Country.

I was one of LBJ's switchboard and radio operators. I worked in WHCA (look it up). I supported the needs of the President of the United States all over the World... wherever he went. I never failed to find the people he needed to talk to. I never let my feelings about the war deter me from my job. I never let my Country or the President of our Country down.

When I stuck the cord in the switchboard to connect the President to whomever he needed me to find... I did as much as any gunner or tank commander or mortar loader ever did in Vietnam.

I did my job.

You may not think that was "combat". But you, for sure, have never been where I was and have no right to suggest what my service was or wasn't.
