Good News and Old News

Thanks for the report. I guess, in a way, it's like "good news" and "old news." The good news being the renouncing of violence by the clerics. The old news being the fact that the NYT ignores the good news.

"Old News" always seems to me to be an oxymoron. Shouldn't "new" be an integral part of "News"? I guess I am just old fashioned, and don't realize the importance of the rehashed propaganda the Times tries to push down its readers' throats. Guess I am not sophisticated enough to understand post-modern Journalism [come to think of it, I don't like post-modern art or architecture either].

....the rags and television "news" are becoming less and less relavent to the general population. We have a whole generation growing up on the web seeking alternate sources.

I agree, "old news?" I guess we could say,"I've got some olds to remind you of."
