Man-Made Global Warming should be proven

Why is it that those who feel compelled to criticize the AGW climate science feel they have no need to actually read and understand what they are attacking? The IPCC reports specifically show that CO2 is not the only contributer to warming, and not the only greenhouse gas and that there are natural sources as well as human sources. The bottom line is of all the forcings GHG is one in which we are a factor and in which we can make change which will alter the system. The conclusion that scientists think that CO2 is the only explanation for warming is a result of sloppy reporting on the part of the media and lack of will for many to look at primary sources.

C02 is the GHG that is the focus of most of the IPCC; Ozone and Methane are also involved but the models do not deal with Ozone. CO2 is painted as the culprit. By the way, there has been no warming shown in any major dataset except for the one that NASA uses. Surprise. If that isn't the embodiment of yellow science nothing is.

Climate-Skeptic.com has a good series of discussions on the fact that CO2 is not the keyp part of the AGW argument but its starting point; the key is the positive feedbacks that amplify the effects of C02 warming. This is the crux. They start with C02 but end with positive feedbacks in the environment that can change a 1 degree C possible warming into a 7-8 degree, although the IPCC doesn't promote this high a level. But Hansen at Goddard does. And Al Gore. Catastrophic global warming comes from the belief that there is a runaway positive feedback cycle. Negative feedbacks are ignored or minimized and this is where the blindness and sense of being scammed comes in: we are told that its all settled but just look at what has been discovered recently: underwater volcanoes, phytoplankton that eats Ozone and methane, and a marked cooling in the past few years. If AGW proponents are not familiar with these issues, then why trust their models at all? In fact, as RealClimate.org claims, Ozone, a GHG, is not even calculated into the GCMs (global climate models). Amazing.
